The pumpkins you find on these pages were either done by Rich & Flo Newman (aka TagYerit) or sent in by friends & contributors. There are over 10 pages of pumpkins now, so give yourself plenty of time to explore the wonderful creations assembled here!
I figured that a silhouette would make a perfect design for a pumpkin. A search
on google's image database using the word, "silhouette" brought up
the following picture.As
you can see it's not only a great image, but the composition is ideal for the
3 tones of a pumpkin. My big mistake was in transferring the image. When I decided
to frame it in an oval, I lost sight of what was the bottom of the design and
ended up putting it on 30 degrees off kilter. As you can tell from the top of
the pumpkin, I shifted the photo to give an idea of what it was supposed to
look like. If you look at it the way I had carved it (by tilting your head)
you would see that the crane unfortunately looks more like a buzzard. By the
way, I have since been unable to locate the original artist where I downloaded
the photo. If you happen across it, let me know so I can give credit where it
belongs. (2004)
Here's 2 pumpkins that Jen N. saw in San Francisco. They were carved by Matt
Rebholz and snapped with Jen's cell phone. (2004)

It struck me that a genie's
emergence from the lamp is similar to a ghostly apparition . And the stem presented
the perfect opportunity for his top-knot. (2003)

When Mike Conroy offered to share his pics of Pinhead, we jumped at the chance.
But we didn't want to scare you too bad. To see this Hellraiser at his scariest,
just click on Pinhead.
Those pins??? cocktail stirrers.
Edd Timmons sent in his original humorous spin on Pinhead in 2006, but he belongs
here with the others.
Daniel sent in his own version of Pinhead (from Hell Raiser) pumpkin, as well as the Lara Croft pumpkin below. Pinhead took 4 hours, Angelina took 3. Daniel says, "Its getting easier everytime I do a face pumpkin. People I show them to are in awe...if you havent tried a face pumpkin yet, TRY IT!" We can see why he gets such a great response. The shading on pinhead is pretty intense.
