The Lost Collector and the Found Scrapbook

Several years ago John Long found this 13 page scrapbook at an estate sale in Sun City, Arizona. It contained travel souvenirs and mementos including the 61 sheets of toilet paper originally collected in Europe and the Middle East. It appears that the original collector gathered these over 2 summer vacations. One trip was in 1961 and the second in 1963.

In January 2016, John contributed this scrapbook to our toilet paper collection. When we asked him to sign a piece of his to add to the collection, he began by writing, "Feel The Bern" - a sentiment we just happen to agree with. If there's any presidential candidate in the 2016 presidential race, who probably uses recycled toilet paper, I'd venture a guess that it would be Bernie Sanders. But before I wander too far afield, what follows is the collection as it looked when we received it. Many of the pieces were originally taped in with a clear scotch tape that has since yellowed. Then, presumably reattached with staples at a later date.
